Using a pixellized style that refers to the 1990s’ world of video games, “point and click”, “Avant la fin/Before the End” is an experimental animated series. Its narrative is disjointed and punctuated with dark humour, with a fantasized world’s end as its backdrop. We follow the mishaps of an anti-hero wearing a red T-shirt, in his everyday life made up of boredom and deeply philosophical questioning.
